Hammer
Hammer is a high-stakes game played as a 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 match. During game setup, you will decide on a default bet for each hole. This bet can be adjusted at any time. To win a hole and the bet, you simply need to have a lower score than your opponent.
But here's where things get interesting. At any point while playing the hole, you or your opponent can "hammer" to press the bet. The first hammer on a hole is marked by pressing the 2x button next to the player or team that hammers. This doubles the bet for the hole. Once a player or team hammers, the option to hammer passes to their opponent. They could hammer back by pressing the 4x button to double the bet again. Several back and forth hammers could be in effect on a single hole.
There are several options available for this game. One option allows for a player or team to decline a hammer and forfeit the hole. This can be accomplished by pressing the FORFEIT button. During game setup, there are two additional options you can turn on. The first one allows you to carry over bets from hole to hole when a tie occurs. The second one allows you to double the bet when a player or team makes a birdie or better. Good luck!
